Jeanne Artemis is a composer and musician whose work seeks to create solace and compassion for invisible suffering.
Her music forms individual aural bodies, connecting with those who experience darkness. Influenced by European modernism, non-European cultures, and underground music scenes, she continually pushes artistic boundaries across genres.
Her work has inspired many and received scholarships and residencies from institutions such as the Goethe Institute, Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe, Musikfonds e.V., Neustart Kultur, and Deutscher Musikrat. Her compositions are performed worldwide by ensembles and soloists including Hashtag Ensemble (PL), JACK Quartet (USA), Nilper Orchestra (IR), and XelmYa (DE).
