BIO
Artist, composer Matthew Wilcock bridges the gap between modern classical, electronic and experimental. Piano, synths, experimentation, to conceptual sound installations. Often conceptual and always seeking meaning.
Matthew has developed multiple installations at London’s Outernet Gallery as well as a multi-loop tape deck exhibition ‘Cease. Fire.’ discussing the role of sound in conflict. He also scored BAFTA-nominated feature film ‘Apostasy’ and Palme D’or winning ‘Waves ‘98’.
Matthew created the AVAS sound used by London’s electric buses, rationalised as a giant city wide sound installation, as well as UI sounds for Microsoft, Matthew is gently influencing our local and global sound worlds.
