BIO

Nazanin Oghanian (she/they/any) is a multidisciplinary artist, experimental filmmaker, and arts administrator. Her work is rooted in critical reflection on themes such as body, identity, gender, memory, politics, and the ongoing tension between the individual and society. Her recent work explores how power structures manifest in the control of women’s and queer bodies, particularly through the medicalization of reproductive health.

She currently lives and works as a guest on unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx ̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations — colonially known as Vancouver, Canada.
